GAMMA Remote Sensing is a Swiss corporation (Aktiengesellschaft – AG) based in Gümligen, near Bern. Founded in January 1995 by Dr. Charles Werner and Dr. Urs Wegmüller, the company is committed to maintaining a high level of technical and scientific expertise.
This expertise is the essential driver for developing innovative applications, providing consulting services, and advancing as well as maintaining our commercial software. Since its foundation, GAMMA has been actively engaged in research projects and collaborates with national and international partners, including space agencies, universities, and private companies.
GAMMA conducts cutting-edge research and provides professional services in the field of microwave remote sensing. Our expertise covers a wide range of topics, including signal processing, microwave signature interpretation, algorithm development, and modeling.
We also offer licenses for our user-friendly gamma software packages, which support high-quality SAR processing, SAR interferometry, differential SAR interferometry, geocoding/orthorectification, interferometric point target analysis (IPTA), and land application tools. Today, the GAMMA software is used by numerous leading research institutes worldwide.
In addition, GAMMA designs and develops advanced microwave instruments, supporting innovation across science and industry.
